Hello Pearl Girls!  I am Jennifer Wilson-Harvey of Wilson & Associates, PLLC (W&A).  I went to Louisiana State University (LSU) for my undergraduate degree and have an MBA and a law degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.  Wilson & Associates has offices in Arkansas and Tennessee, and I am licensed in both states.  I am also licensed as a Real Estate Broker in Arkansas and a Title Agent in Arkansas and Tennessee.  Before my crazy life in the real estate legal world, I was in the investment business. 

I belong to lots of professional organizations, but I really like to be involved in my community in Little Rock, Arkansas.  My favorite is the Arkansas Repertory Theatre, and I serve on the Board.  At our recent annual fundraising event – a black tie Ball – I bought the “Walk-on Role” at the live auction.  So – I will add Actress to my resume soon.  I will have a fifteen minute part in one of the theater’s performances this year.  Wow! 

I am a long-time Type 1 diabetic.  I wear an insulin pump.  The disease can be extremely annoying, but it’s better than the alternative!  I serve on the Board of the American Diabetes Association’s Arkansas Chapter (ADA).  Thanks to our very wonderful, creative staff at W&A, we raise thousands and thousands of dollars annually for the ADA, as well as other organizations.  My assistant Doreen Mattes is a very important part of the ADA as well.  She has taken that challenge on – as well as the ultimate challenge – which is to help organize me!

But, enough about me! Let me tell you about the most important people in my life:  my incredible husband, Jack Harvey, my son & daughter, Robert & Jillian Wilson, my parents Jerry & Jill, my sister Julie, my two dogs, Buddy & Sister, and my cat Elliot.  It’s quite a line-up.  I could write a book on each of them!

Jack & I married in September 2000, in a romantic ceremony in Puerto Rico.  Jack is an outdoorsman when he is not working.  He loves to golf, hunt, and fish.  I occasionally will hunt with him (no golfing or fishing yet).   We LOVE to travel, enjoy a glass of fine wine together, play with our friends, and spend time with our family.  The only thing I can think of that I hate is getting up early!

I have two beautiful children. Robert just graduated from Tulane University and hopes to begin law school in the Fall of 2010.  He is currently working for Arkansas Congressman Mike Ross in Washington, DC.  Jillian is currently attending George Washington University in Washington, DC, but is doing a semester abroad in Barcelona, Spain for the Spring 2010 semester.  She is studying Psychology with a minor in Art History, and should graduate in May, 2011.  I am so proud of both my children.  They are very special people. 

My parents and sister complete the immediate family circle – we are all very different, but somehow put us all together and it’s quite a party!  I am blessed to have such a loving family and lots of wonderful friends, including all you Pearls!
